According to an announcement by the Cyprus Fire Service, its members are trained, among others, in the use of the truck-mounted hydraulic platform that can drop water from a height of 60 meters!

With a maximum 60 metres of working height, the truck-mounted hydraulic platform can be used for rescue and firefighting purposes in high rise buildings. BRONTO SKYLIFT type F60 RLX hydraulic platform is mounted on a SCANIA type vehicle. This platform has the ability to lift up to 500kg (inside the rescue cage) and drop 3800 liters of water / minute!

Although the high rise buildings bear, (following the recommendations of the Fire Service), autonomy on fire fighting and escape systems, the Cyprus Fire Service is being modernized with the help from the state.

The purchase and supply of this Firefighting Vehicle is co-financed with the amount of € 430.00 from the project “Heron” within the European Program  ΙΝΤΕRREG V-A 2014-2020 Greece – Cyprus and after many efforts, consultations, consensus and agreements with various bodies. It is also noted that the efforts made were always in collaboration with the Hellenic Fire Service with the primary goal being the immediate and effective response to the public calls and in the shortest possible time.
