The National Guard General Staff (GEEF) has published photos and a VIDEO depicting free-fall jumps of the National Guard’s and the French Armed Forces’ paratroopers that took place in the framework of exercise BOLD WINGS – 2022. According to the announcement of GEEF, on November 14-18, 2022, the small-scale special operations exercise “BOLD WINGS – 2022”, jointly organized by the National Guard and the Armed Forces of France, took place on the territory of the Republic of Cyprus with the participation of special operations personnel of the Special Forces Command of the National Guard and the French Special Forces. 

The scenario of the exercise included various types of individual and group combat fire as well as training in the execution of free fall jumps. 

The exercise, which is part of the Bilateral Defence Cooperation Program between the Republic of Cyprus and France, is considered to be particularly beneficial, as it provides the possibility for the special operations personnel of the National Guard to train together with corresponding personnel of the French Armed Forces, promoting in this way the level of training and interoperability as well as highlighting the excellent relations between the Armed Forces of the two countries.
