In the context of the Joint Tactical Exercise “BLAZING ARROW”, which takes place from October 20 to October 22, the 4th Infantry Brigade designed and executed a Dual Action Exercise in the wider area of the Brigade. The scenario of the exercise examined combat within urban areas and was attended by a Brigade Unit and a group of conscripts with their Commander from the Orestiada Battalion of the National Guard.

The exercise was attended by the Minister of Defence, Mr. Charalambos Petridis, accompanied by the Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Democritus Zervakis, the Mayors of Aglantzia, Latsia and Geri, a representative of the Archdiocese of Cyprus and executives of the National Guard General Staff.

At the end of the exercise, the Minister of Defence expressed his satisfaction for the effort made by the staff in order to achieve the objectives of the exercise. In particular, he thanked the Greek conscripts for their participation and pointed out that their presence confirms the excellent ties of friendship between Greece and Cyprus.

The exercise “BLAZING ARROW” culminates tomorrow with the conduct of its final phase at the Shooting Range of Kalo Chorio, in the presence of the Minister of Defence and the Chief of the National Guard.
