Appointments of the new recruits 2020 Class in Combat Arms – Corps
The appointment process of the new recruits 2020 Class in Combat Arms – Corps, branches and units of the National Guard took place today at the Chr. Samara camp in Athalassa.
The procedure took place in the presence of the Minister of Defence, Mr. Charalambos Petridis, the Deputy Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Costas Chrysiliou, and members of the Parliamentary Committee on Defence.
The process of appointing new recruits was carried out using a software programme, the database of which was filled by the data submitted electronically by the conscripts on the Ministry of Defence platform. The use of this software ensures the integrity of the process, without human intervention. The results of the appointments show that 75% of the recruits were placed in the 1st guard of their choice.
The results have not been disclosed and have been secured by the Electoral Commission. New recruits and their units will be notified of the results on the day of classification of each recruit.
