Altus LSA | Successful trial of ATLAS 8 Heavy Lifter at Crete shooting range

The successful flight test of the ATLAS 8 Heavy Lifter unmanned aerial vehicle system was carried out by ALTUS LSA in Crete Shooting Range on November 7 & 8, 2023.

The test was attended by senior executives of MBDA Missile Systems, who had the opportunity to learn about the organization, activities and capabilities of the Crete Shooting Range.

The Greek company presented the ATLAS 8 Heavy Lifter, which is a heavy drone with payload capacity. It is an octocopter, with four twin counter-rotating rotors, with a maximum take-off weight of 90 kg and a payload capacity of 40 kg.

As for ALTUS LSA, it is a high-tech company that develops and provides integrated product and service solutions.

In fact, according to business daily, the investment company VNK Capital Investments recently entered into a strategic partnership with ALTUS LSA, a partnership which will bring greater development in the field of unmanned systems and drones in Greece.

It is worth noting that ALTUS LSA products are used by various national and international organizations, such as the OSCE, NATO, EMSA (European Maritime Safety Agency), Frontex, the Greek Armed Forces and Security Forces and the Cyprus Police.
