Since the early days of the war in Ukraine, the importance of anti-tank weapons in efforts to counter the Russian offensive has been highlighted. Offensive operations from the Russian side give particular weight to the participation of armored and wheeled vehicles, while anti-tank weapons play an important role in defending Ukrainians.
As is already known, anti-tank weapons are included in the military aid the European states have already been sending to Ukraine. Among them is the German Panzerfaust 3 anti-tank system.

Dynamit Nobel AG’s Panzerfaust 3 was manufactured in West Germany during the Cold War in the late 1980s. It is an upgrade of the German single-use Panzerfaust anti-tank that was used by the German Army in World War II.
The Panzerfaust 3 consists of a disposable canister, but the firing and aiming mechanisms are reusable. The system has a portable design and is used by a single soldier rather than a shooter and a loader.
Panzerfaust 3 technical characteristics:
- Length: 1 m
- Weight: 13 kg
- Head diameter: 110 mm
- Armor penetration: 700 mm
- Range: 300-400 m, depending on moving or static target
Among the number of variants of the weapon, there is the Panzerfaust 3LTW (Light-wight) weighing less from 10 kg, the long-range (800 m) Panzerfaust 3LR with a CO2 laser pointer, the Panzerfaust 3-IT600 with armor penetration exceeding 1000 mm and the Panzerfaust 3-T600 with an IS2000 laser pointer capable of hitting a moving target at a distance of 600 m.
