Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) debuted the new multi-sensor, tactical system Green Lotus (ELI-2139) for the first time at the international Eurosatory 2022 exhibition in France.
The system in question, developed in partnership with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and IAI-ELTA Systems, is meant to provide stationary and moving tactical forces with high-performance capabilities against incoming threats as well as surveillance capabilities.
According to IAI, Green Lotus is a multi-mission multi-sensor system designed for tactical low-tier air and ground surveillance, force protection, Ground-Based Air Defence (GBAD), Counter Unmanned Air Systems (C-UAS), and Counter-Rocket, Artillery & Mortar (C-RAM) missions, while it also optimizes situational awareness for ground and air units on the move.
The modular solution in question combines a range of IAI-ELTA’s active and passive sensors to optimize situational awareness and efficiency.
Not only does the mobile system automatically detect, track, classify, identify and verify a wide variety of aerial targets, including fighter aircraft, helicopters, UAS, and very low Radar Cross Section (RCS) targets such as missiles, rockets, artillery, and mortar shells, but it also detects and classifies ground targets (such as vehicles and slow-moving individuals).

All the multi-sensor data is collected and processed within the system’s unified command and control (C2) console, which employs artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance detection, classification, and identification capabilities. The combined data provides users with a clear and comprehensive Situational Awareness Picture (SAP). Furthermore, the system seamlessly integrates countermeasure systems, enabling highly effective and accurate target acquisition.
All of the sensors are contained in a specifically designed structure and share power, communication buses, and cooling. Also, the modular nature of the system enables it to be modified to match the demands of each specific customer. Its structure gives total 360° coverage when fully equipped with a sensor array. Two versions are available: half and full size.
The simultaneous capability to perform C-RAM while also conducting air and ground surveillance makes Green Lotus an exceptionally valuable force protection tool.
