In the era where technology is the new battlefield, a group of dedicated Greek engineers with two decades of experience in defence systems set out to create something beyond the ordinary.
The purely Greek company F.NOUS Technology, with only four years of activity in the field of Defence and Security, constitutes the realization of the set goal of creating a small innovation incubator in the defence and technological “affairs” of the country.
At the same time, the establishment of the company gives Greek engineers the role they deserve in their effort to make Greece a point of reference in the production of ideas and solutions for defence hardware users.
From 2021 to 2023, F.NOUS Technology achieved important milestones, as it was involved in the design and development of advanced systems (hardware), cooperating not only with Greek, but mainly with foreign defence-oriented companies.
These companies sought expertise in research and development of thermal systems in order to improve efficiency in the field and tailor the technology to the particular needs of end users. The know-how of the F.NOUS Technology team acted as a catalyst for the fruition of the aforementioned collaborations, which simultaneously created a new cycle of ingenuity and innovation.
At this point, it is worth underlining the company’s steadfast commitment to supporting domestic capabilities as much as possible. The result of this principle is that 90% of the design and development of the solutions takes place in Greece, while the 80% of the assembly of the products is based on Greek resources.
This choice, according to the company’s executives, is not only strategic in the context of modern “business”, but reflects its commitment to invest in the country’s technological and human capital, aiming at strengthening its self-sufficiency in the critical defence sector.
This year, the experience gained from the all-inclusive design of thermal systems led the company to the next big step, namely the development of a series of software solutions in view of upgrading the capabilities of existing systems at the operational level, the training of personnel and the support of Artificial Intelligence (A.I) systems.

In particular, F.NOUS Technology’s product and service portfolio offers “smart” integrated solutions by applying the entire field of technological tools, software, electronic and mechanical design to each system, as well as customized thermal system solutions to meet each customer’s needs à la carte.
- Customized Thermal Imaging Solutions
The company’s systems design ranges from ballistic computers and automatic target detection, to interconnection with existing systems such as day cameras, radar and remote control of weapon systems.
- Simulation Software
The development of software and simulation tools is one of the main pillars of the company with the aim of each user immersing himself in the technology and being trained in realistic scenarios.
- Training and Consulting
For the people at F.NOUS Technology, training is the key to the maximum performance of any system and therefore, the company provides a comprehensive training and consulting service, allowing operators to gain a deep knowledge of the technical capabilities of thermal imaging systems.
- Upgrade of Thermal Systems
F.NOUS Technology offers, inter alia, the potential to upgrade existing thermal systems with Artificial Intelligence, using external devices without the need to disassemble and disrupt the operation of existing systems.

The company’s orientation extends both domestically and abroad, focusing on two main areas: the provision of design services and subsystems for other businesses (B2B) and the direct offering of thermal products to the market (B2C).
- Design Services and Subsystem Provision (B2B)
In a world where armed forces require increasingly advanced systems, many companies encounter difficulties when it comes to integrating thermal cameras into their solutions. Either because existing market solutions do not adequately meet their needs, or because they technically exceed the requirements, the result is often the need for a new, custom-designed subsystem. This is where F.NOUS Technology takes action by offering subsystems that perfectly suit the needs of each customer, while also offering manufacturing and continuous support.
- Supply of Thermal Products (B2C)
Thermal systems have become an integral part of military technology, multiplying power in night fighting conditions. However, the market presents a critical gap: the lack of flexibility and excessive complexity in upgrading systems. Existing products often fail to offer cost-effective solutions and easily adapt to evolving user needs.
F.NOUS Technology offers an alternative approach by designing fully agile and upgradeable systems, allowing customers to purchase only the extra kits they need, without the need to purchase new systems at each step of the upgrade.

The Vision for the Future
The people of F.NOUS Technology told DEFENCE ReDEFiNED that they are not limited to today’s technology, as they envision the creation of an integrated innovation center in Greece, one that will lead the way in technological design, research and development, and the production of new products.
This center will be a beacon of technological solutions in areas of integrated defence systems, building on existing know-how and based on the same fundamental design principles.
