43 Navy Ensigns Received Their Swords – Seven Cypriots Among Them | Photos
The oath taking ceremony of the new HN Ensigns of Class 2020 was held at the Hellenic Naval Academy in Piraeus, on Thursday, July 2, 2020.
The swords were presented to the new Officers by Η.E. President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, the Deputy Minister of National Defense Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, the Chief of Hellenic National Defense General Staff General Konstantinos Floros, the Chief of Hellenic Navy General Staff Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis ΗΝ, the Chief of Hellenic Air Force General Staff Lieutenant General (AF) Georgios Blioumis, the Chief of Hellenic Army General Staff Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousis, the Secretary of the Ministry of National Defense Mr. Antonios Oikonomou, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Piraeus Mr. Seraphim, members of the Government and Parliament, Senior Officers of the Armed Forces as well as relatives of the new Ensigns.

A total of forty-three (43) Ensigns (29 deck officers and 14 engineers) took the oath, including seven (07) from the Republic of Cyprus and three (03) from the Kingdom of Jordan.
