Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, and Danish Prime Minister, Mette Fredericksen, signed a 10-year bilateral security agreement on Friday.

Thus, Denmark, following the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, joined the conclusion of a security agreement with Ukraine. Kiev sees the agreements as commitments by partners before it achieves its goal of becoming a NATO member.

Fredericksen met with Zelensky in Lviv, western Ukraine, a day before the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of the country.

Denmark, a member of NATO and the EU, is a staunch supporter of Ukraine and is among the largest contributors of military aid to the country relative to its size.
