Five years after imposing restrictions on arms exports to Turkey, Norway has decided to accept Ankara’s arms applications.
The drilling ship Abdulhamid Han sailed yesterday Friday from the port of Tasuçou, Seleucia in southern Turkey.
It is escorted, ERT reports, by the support ship Kutsi Ilhan, according to the signal it sends to the Marinetraffic.com satellite navigation system.
The Antalya station of the Turkish Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Turkish Navy issued yesterday the relevant NAVTEX valid from August 10 to February 6, 2024.
Its destination is Akseki-1 south/southeast of Kastellorizo, west of Cyprus, and south of Myra.
The new drilling target is estimated to be within the potential Turkish EEZ.
