Following other companies of EFA GROUP, THEON SENSORS, also a member of EFA GROUP, announces its decision to withdraw from the Hellenic Manufacturers of Defence Material Association (SEKPY) judging that the interests of the company, but also of the Hellenic Defence Industry more broadly, are not supported and promoted by SEKPY. Furthermore, the effective promotion of solving the existing and essential issues of the defence sector has not been achieved.

As stated in a relevant announcement, “through the long-lasting membership of Theon Sensors in SEKPY and despite the continuous efforts of the company as well as the support of SEKPY management over the years, the company found that SEKPY does not aim to serve the purposes of its statute, it certainly does not strengthen the healthy development of the Hellenic Defence Industry, therefore it cannot contribute substantially to the strengthening of its extroversion and international perspectives.”
