In the context of his planned briefing on the mission of the Commands and Units, the Minister of Defence, Mr. Charalambos Petridis, accompanied by the Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Democritus Zervakis, boarded a helicopter of the Air Force Command and inspected Air Force facilities.

During the flight that took place in the province of Paphos and the Pyrgos of Tylliria, the Minister was informed about the defence planning of the National Guard in the area.

Finally, the Minister visited the “Andreas Papandreou” Air Base in Paphos where he was briefed on the capabilities and facilities available to the National Guard as well as the use of the Base in the recent quadripartite exercise “EUNOMIA”, noting the personnel’s high level of training and operational readiness.
