Impressive footage from the aeronautical exercise “EUNOMIA” VIDEO

The Ministry of Defence announced that the quadripartite aeronautical exercise between Cyprus, Greece, France and Italy with the name “EUNOMIA” has been successfully completed.
The activity was carried out in the context of the joint decision of the 4 countries for a presence in the Eastern Mediterranean. Actions were carried out at sea in the region South of Cyprus from 26 to 28 August 2020. A wide range of naval and airforce drills as well as Search and Rescue exercises were held. The participating countries contributed to the exercise with Naval and Airforce elements.
The final phase, which took place in the sea area South of the Naval Base “Evangelos Florakis” in Mari, was attended by the Chief of Defence (CHOD) accompanied by the Commander of Greek Forces in Cyprus (ELDYK) and the Defence Attaches of France and Italy.
The successful completion of the exercise demonstrates the will of the 4 states to create an enhanced, collective, naval presence, based on mutual understanding, dialogue and cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
At the same time, it signals that the Quadripartite cooperation will play an important role in ensuring free navigation and enhancing security and stability in the wider region.
