A Memorandum of Cooperation to further strengthen the international ecosystem in defence and security was signed on 10/9/2023 by the Hellenic Aerospace Security & Defence Industries Group (HASDIG) and the Bulgarian Association Defence Industry Club within the framework of the 87th Thessaloniki International Fair.
According to a relevant announcement, this Memorandum provides for the planning and development of synergies between HASDIG and the Bulgarian Association Defence Industry Club in activities and industrial programs of mutual interest in the field of aerospace, defence, and security.

“It is our great pleasure and honor to sign a memorandum of cooperation between HASDIG and the Bulgarian Association Defence Industry Club during the 87th TIF. The defence industries of Greece and Bulgaria can complement each other in various areas, exchange know-how, and industrial experiences, and support the participation of their members in joint R&D and armament European programs, united for a stronger approach to the market and enhancing innovation and their extroversion,” emphasized the President of HASDIG, Mr. Nikos Papatsas.
The 87th Thessaloniki International Fair was also attended by the members of HASDIG, such as the Hellenic Aviation Industry (HAI), which showcased significant technological achievements ranging from manufacturing and aircraft maintenance up to satellite applications, and the Hellenic Vehicle Industry (ELVO), which presented its upgraded capabilities for the new era taking shape in the field of international industry of special vehicle types.
During the 87th TIF, the leadership of HASDIG represented by its President, Mr. Nikolaos Papatsas, made important contacts with Bogdan Bogdanov, Minister of Finance and Industry of Bulgaria, which was also the honored country of the 87th TIF, as well as the CEO of Enterprise Greece, Marinos Yiannopoulos.
A few days later, HASDIG member companies participated in the DSEI 2023 (Defence & Security Equipment International) exhibition held in London between September 12-15, 2023. This exhibition is regarded as one of the largest international exhibitions in the field of defence and security.

Specifically, INTRACOM DEFENSE, SCYTALYS, and THEON SENSORS presented a wide range of cutting-edge products, systems, and technological solutions that contribute to addressing the modern operational needs of the Armed Forces.

In the context of the timeless and constant effort of HASDIG for the promotion of the extroversion of its members – the Greek defence industries and the development of contacts between foreign companies and the domestic defence industry – the Group held numerous meetings with prime international companies in the sector of defence and security.
A major part of the agenda was the contact with all the respective Defence Industries Associations of European countries and members of the Aerospace, Security, and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) which participated with their own booths at the said Exhibition, while important meetings were also organized in the National Pavilion of LATVIA.
