The Cyprus Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises (CARIE) and the French Maritime Industry Association GICAN signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the context of the 1st Business Workshop between Cyprus and France.

The event in question is being attended by 20 French and 18 Cypriot companies, which hold B2B meetings to strengthen business cooperation between Cyprus and France in the fields of Security and Defence.
The signing of the Memorandum aims to strengthen the cooperation between the two defence industries and, in particular, it provides for:
- Cooperation in European projects
- Joint initiatives in Research and Innovation
- Support of small and medium enterprises
- Establishment of industry collaboration on current or future projects.
The signing of the Memorandum took place at a reception hosted by the Ambassador of France in Cyprus, Mrs. Salina Grene Catalano, after the first day of the workshop.
