The National Guard, in the impressive snapshots released from the exercise EUNOMIA 5-2024, presented for the first time the Licorne Command and Control system.

The Licorne operated as part of the exercise with Mistral anti-aircraft missiles and is now an important addition to the Air Force’s arsenal.

MBDA’s Command and Control (C2) Licorne system is complementary to the French company’s Ground Based Air Defense systems (GBAD) and is derived from the I-MCP and PCP systems with common software, architecture and Man-Machine interface parts (HMI).

The system consists of several sensors including jammers, radars, IRST (Infrared Search and Track), and radio frequency (RF) localizers, while it may perform all necessary functions of a command and control system for aerial threats engagement including class 1 and 2 UAVs.
