The revelations of the “Pantsir-S1E” air defense system were made on 02/05 by the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, in the presence of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces.

The day of the presentation of the anti-aircraft system coincided with the 21st anniversary of the downing of the American F-16 fighter jet, which was piloted by the current commander of the US Air Force, Lt. Gen. David L. Goldfein. The plane was shot down by “legendary” commander Tiosav Janković, who was also present at the unveiling.

“We are in the Jakovo sheds, where you can see the state-of-the-art anti-aircraft systems Pantsir-S1 we have for the first time,” the Serbian president told .

In fact, according to him, the Serbian Air Force and Air Defense are 10 times stronger today than during the NATO attack.

The Pantsir-S1E is an upgraded version of the Pantsir-S1 and can hit a target at an altitude of 15 kilometers with a maximum range of 20 kilometers and carries 12 missiles. It can engage four targets simultaneously and also has two 30 mm anti-aircraft guns. The Pantsir-S1E, which Serbia acquired according to Army Recognition, has an increased range of range radar from 36 kilometers to 40. It can also bind other targets and drones, even ground targets. It is one of the most advanced air defense systems as it is an extremely efficient system.

In addition, Serbia is expected to be equipped with new UAVs, while the largest exercise of the Serbian Air Force is expected to take place next autumn.
