The Hellenic Manufacturers Defence Materiel Association (SEKPY) congratulates all Greek Entities on their participation in the European-funded research programs EDF 2023.

In particular, not only do Greek entities participate in 28 of the total 54 EDF 2023 research programs, but they have the role of Coordinators in 9 programs too.

As mentioned in a relevant announcement, this fact certifies the dynamics of the companies of the Greek Defence Industry and reflects their leap forward in Research and Development activities in collaboration with leading European industries.

The Companies – Members of SEKPY, which participate in the European research programs, are the following:

  • Hellenic Aerospace Industry;
  • HTR;
  • INTRACOM DEFENSE (coordinator);
  • SATWAYS (coordinator);
  • MILTECH HELLAS (coordinator);
  • ETME;
  • FEAC ENGINEERING;
  • HYDRUS;
  • EIGHT BELLS HELLAS;
  • THALES HELLAS;
  • SPACE HELLAS;
  • ALTUS LSA;
  • ADAMANT COMPOSITES (coordinator in 2 programs); and
  • REALISCAPE TYPORAMA.

The above results, alongside those of the preceding two cycles (EDF2021 and EDF2022), demonstrate through these programs the foundations are laid for the further development of the capabilities of the Greek Defence Industry and, in particular, of the research and development departments of the companies which in turn create a critical cluster for “made in Greece” innovation.

In this direction, actions to support its members through the EDF Helpdesk, developed in collaboration with Ernst & Young, for the upcoming calls of the European programs are expected from SEKPY very soon.
