The Police event entitled “Police Day” took place today, in the province of Famagusta, in the parking lot next to the Port of Ayia Napa.
In her speech during the event, the Minister of Justice, Stefi Drakou, stressed that the goal is for the citizens to feel the Cyprus Police close to them as a supporter and companion.

At the same time, the Chief of Police, Stelios Papatheodorou, pointed out that the Cyprus Police is a supporter and ally of the citizen. This is how it should work and this is how it should be treated. Police and citizens together, we can create a safe environment for all.
Those attending got to know the Services and the Police Departments closely. The Cyprus Fire Service was also present with its members from the Province of Famagusta.

The event included demonstrations by sea and air means of the Police as well as demonstrations by the detective dogs and the Firefighting Corps amid the music of the Cyprus Police Philharmonic.
