In honor of the memory of the fallen heroes during the explosion at the Naval Base “Evangelos Florakis” in Mari, on July 11, 2011, the Government announced that it will participate in the memorial services which will be held on Sunday, July 5, at 8.30 in the morning.
According to an announcement by the Secretariat of the Cabinet, the Minister of Defence, Charalambos Petridis, will attend the memorial service of Commodore Andreas Ioannidis and Warrant Officer Cleanthis Cleanthous at the Church of Agios Kosmas Aitolos, in Limassol.
The Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Giannis Karousos, will attend the memorial service of Captain Lambros Lambrou at the Church of Agios Kyriakos in Kiti.
The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Costas Kadis, will attend the memorial service of Sergeant Spyros Tantis at the Church of the Apostle Barnabas in Kamares, Larnaca.
The Minister of Justice and Public Order, Emily Yiolitis, will attend the memorial service of the Petty Officers Miltos and Christos Christoforos at the Church of Ayia Napa in Limassol.
Deputy Minister of Tourism, Savvas Perdios, will attend the memorial service of Sergeant Vassilis Krokou at the Church of Agios Ioannis Theologos in Larnaca.
The Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Kyriakos Kokkinos, will attend the memorial service of Sergeant Adamos Adamos at the Church of Agios Epifanios in Alethrikos.
The Commissioner for the Presidency, Fotis Fotiou, will attend the memorial service of Sergeant George Giakoumis at the Church of Panagia Eleousa in Kivissili.
The General Director of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Andreas Loukas, will attend the memorial service of the Petty Officer Michalis Irakleous at the Church of Archangel Michael in Latsia.
The General Director of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, Stelios Heimonas will attend the memorial service of Lieutenant Andreas Papadopoulos at the Church of Agios Savvas, in Livadia.
Also, on Sunday, July 12, at 8.30 in the morning, the Director of the Office of the President of the Republic, Petros Dimitriou, will attend the memorial service of Antonis Charalambous at the Church of Panagia Sfalaggiotissis in Limassol.
