Ministry of Defence | Instructions for new recruits – What they need to have with them
The classification of the new recruits of 2020 Class will take place on July 10 for those joining following their postponement due to health reasons at the Larnaca Training Center and from July 13-21 for the other categories of conscripts at the Training Centres of Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos and at the “Ch.Samara” camp in Athalassa. Regarding this, the Ministry of Defence announces the following:
The conscripts are required to attend their classification on the specified date and time in military uniform if they have received it.
With them, they must have:
- The letter that was sent to them or delivered by the Military Offices along with their identity card or passport or any other official document of the Republic from which the conscript can be identified.
- Certificate or photocopy of a health booklet or health card or any medical certificate certifying the blood type and the vaccines the conscript has had as well as any health problems he or she is experiencing.
- Photocopy of their bank account (IBAN), in which the monthly grant of a national guard will be deposited.
- The recruits, after their classification, will move to their units on the same day by National Guard vehicles and for this reason they are called not to come by their own vehicles.
- In order to avoid overcrowding during the classification process, it is pointed out that those recruits who do not arrive on the scheduled day and time, according to the letter that was sent to them, will not be accepted for classification and will be given an invitation note for another day and possibly for another Training Centre.
