Defence Redefined

The Cypriot Member of the European Parliament (MEP), Loukas Fourlas, swam for the 4th consecutive year with the Underwater Demolition Team (UDT) members for the little heroes in the Pediatric Oncology Unit of Makarios Hospital in Nicosia.

Apart from the UDT members, Assistant Attorney General, Savvas Angelidis, and Nicosia Mayor, Konstantinos Giorkatzis, swam with Loukas Fourlas.

“The distance we traveled seemed so small in front of the greatness of the soul of the Little Heroes. Our hearts are warm with the love of all of you. Our goal in life is to strengthen our Little Heroes and their families. I thank all those who swam again this year under these special conditions and all of you who were mentally with us,” the Cypriot MEP stated in a post on social media.

 

Supporters of the effort were the Cyprus Police, the National Guard, the Elpida Foundation, the Pancyprian Association of Parents & Friends of the Pediatric Oncology Unit of Makarios Hospital and CYjetski.
