In particular, Spiegel reports that the German company is negotiating an investment worth 200 million euros, which concerns a factory to develop the most modern German battle tank, the KF-51 Panther in Ukraine. Let us recall that the other day, reports in the press stated that Ukraine is likely to be the first country to procure the tank in question.
According to Armin Papperger, President of the German company Rheinmetall AG, the new plant could produce up to 400 KF51 Panther tanks per year. A decision could be made within the next two months, while Armin Papperger also said the new plant could be protected by deploying air defence systems.
The DEFENCE ReDEFiNED team saw the KF-51 Panther up close when it was unveiled at the Eurosatory 2022 exhibition in Paris, followed by a special briefing from the company itself during the Rheinmetall Defence Talks 2022 conference in Berlin.
