Greek defence technology company Intracom Defense (IDE) has signed a contract with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) to supply a customized Hybrid Power Supply System, based on Hybrid Electric Power Systems (HEPS®) technology.

IAI has selected IDE’s HEPS® technology to be incorporated into their Systems because of its operational advantages related to power autonomy, efficiency and safety.

With this initial 1.2 M Euro contract, IDE will commence deliveries within 2020.

Dr. George Troullinos, the CEO of IDE, stated: “The decision of IAI to utilize our Hybrid Power technology into their Systems is rewarding once more our continuous R&D investment and activities in the defense sector. We envision this to be the beginning of a successful cooperation with IAI. This development as well as the recent selection of IDE’s proposals for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and the Network-Centric Communications by the European Commission are highlights of the company’s excellence in incorporating engineering innovation and state-of-the-art technologies in defense applications. We continue our long-standing effort exporting advanced systems, contributing also in this way to our country’s economy.”
