The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic is rising rapidly among the crew of French Charles de Gaulle carrier that recently visited Cyprus.
According to the French Senate on Friday April 17, citing a military medical source, about 940 sailors out of a total of 2,300 sailors of the carrier and its escort vessels have tested positive for COVID-19.
The French Navy defends the way in which it handled the coronavirus spread to the aircraft carrier.
