HNDGS | Signing of the Greece-Cyprus-Egypt Joint Action Plan and the Greece-Egypt Military Cooperation Programme

On Tuesday, 4 February 2025, the “Greece – Cyprus – Egypt Joint Action Plan” and the “Greece – Egypt Military Cooperation Programme” for the year 2025 were signed at the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS).

According to a related announcement, the two actions were signed within the framework of the international cooperation of the Hellenic Armed Forces with allied and friendly nations. They are a continuation of the agreements signed in 2024 and include the following items:

  • Operational training.
  • Joint training of Special Forces – Special Operations Forces, air missions and Electronic Warfare.
  • Collaboration on Hellenic Army Aviation, Military Medicine and Military History subjects.
  • Training in a weapon systems simulator.
  • Participation in training of the Multinational Training Centre for Peace Support Operations.

The main objectives of the above actions are to enhance the level of cooperation and improve the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces of the three countries.

At the same time, the efforts to address common challenges are being strengthened with the aim of promoting security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
