HNDGS | Joint training of Hellenic Navy Units and Hellenic Air Force Aircraft with SNMG 2 – Photos

On Saturday 21 and Tuesday 24 May 2022, in the framework of the international collaborations of the Hellenic Armed Forces based on the planning of HNDGS, a joint Passing Exercise (PASSEX) and Air Defence Exercise (ADEX) took place between Hellenic Navy Units and Hellenic Air Force Aircraft with Units of the Standing NATO Maritime Group Two (SNMG 2).

Specifically, in the joint exercise conducted on Saturday, May 21, 2022, the Hellenic Armed Forces participated with the GRIGOROPOULOS and XENOS Fast Attack Crafts as well as 2 F-4 Fighter Aircraft in the wider southeastern sea area of Karpathos, whereas during the training held on Tuesday, May 24, the Armed Forces participated with the GRIGOROPOULOS Fast Attack Craft, the KASOS gunboat and 2 F-16 Fighter Aircraft in the wider sea area south of Megisti.

Surface warfare, communications, targeting, advanced maneuvers, and anti-aircraft warfare were carried out during the joint training, according to an announcement by HNDGS.

These training activities contributed to the promotion of the level of operational readiness, combat capability, and cooperation of the participants in an allied context.
