The meeting between the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has been scheduled. The meeting will take place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, according to government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis.

As Pavlos Marinakis stated, the meeting between Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Recep Tayyip Erdogan is already scheduled to take place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in mid-September.

In addition, Mr. Marinakis mentioned that a Supreme Cooperation Council between Greece and Turkey will be organized in Thessaloniki in late 2023.

According to the government representative, it is considered important that the Greek-Turkish initiatives are taken at a time when Greece has significantly strengthened on the economic and geopolitical levels, giving examples such as the arrival of leaders of the Balkans, the EU, and the Indian Prime Minister in Athens in the last few days.
