One of the two pilots was found dead after the fatal F4 crash in the Gulf of Kyparissia on Monday morning.

According to reports, the two pilots did not have time to eject the aircraft.

The wreckage of the fatal F4 has been located in the Gulf of Kyparissia, with searches in the surrounding area in full swing to locate both pilots.

The two pilots of the Phantom of the 338th Squadron are a Flight Lieutenant and a Flying Officer. The aircraft was performing a “low navigation” flight, i.e. at a low altitude.

Initial information that the two pilots reported on the radio that they were using the automatic ejection system was not confirmed. As it became known, the other F-4, which is No. 1 of the formation of the training flight, and not the two pilots, informed about the crash.
