As expected, the electorate confirmed Monday the victory of Democrat Joe Biden over Republican Donald Trump in the elections held on November 3.

The vote of 55 voters in California, a state where Biden prevailed with more than 63% of the vote, was enough for the Democratic to exceed the threshold of 270, confirming thus his victory by the body. In all, Biden is expected to receive 306 electoral votes, compared to 232 for Trump. States have formally ratified the result. Former Vice President Barack Obama, who will be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States on January 20, was expected to address the Americans later from his stronghold in the city of Wilmington (Delaware).

Despite the final outcome of the election, outgoing Republican President Donald Trump continues to question it.
