Chief of Staff meets with Lockheed Martin – F-35, P-3B Orion and F-16 Viper on the agenda

The Chief of HNDGS held a meeting with executives of Lockheed Martin. More specifically, on Wednesday July 06, 2022, the Chief of HNDGS, General Konstantinos Floros, met in his office with the Vice President of Global Business Development & Strategy of Lockheed Martin Corporation, Mr. Tim Cahill, the Vice President of Global Pursuits Initiatives for Greece, Italy, the Americas and Africa of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics International, Mrs. Deni Plessa, and the Vice President of Lockheed Martin Corporation and legal representative of Lockheed Martin International SA and Lockheed Martin Global Inc. in Greece, Mr. Konstantinos Papadopoulos.

During the meeting, which took place in a warm atmosphere, issues of mutual interest with regard to deepening the cooperation of the Armed Forces with the company were discussed, with particular emphasis on the upgrading of the Naval Operations Aircraft P-3B Orion and F-16 Viper at the facilities of the Hellenic Aviation Industry (HAI). Furthermore, the activation procedures of the F-35 Fighter Aircraft acquisition program, currently underway in view of the upcoming official visit of the Chief of HNDGS to the USA, and specifically to the facilities of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas, where the aircraft are manufactured, were also discussed.
