An unthinkable incident occurred in Britain when the Minister of Policing, Fire and Crime Prevention Police, Diana Johnson, while attending a conference on tackling theft, was robbed.

The incident unfolded as a senior officer said that the criminal justice system had been breached in his speech at the Union of Police Inspectors conference in central England on the growing problem of robberies and shoplifting.

An official said Johnson’s bag was stolen while she was at the conference, but no security risk was identified.

In her speech, Johnson said that Britain was gripped by an epidemic of antisocial behaviour, robberies, and shoplifting.

The ministry of interior affairs declined to comment. Warwickshire Police said that a 56-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of theft and released on bail.

In recent years, Britain has experienced an increase in robberies and shoplifts. While overall crime is on the decline, the number of thefts of items such as handbags and mobile phones rose 40% in the year ending March, according to the Office for National Statistics.

This has contributed to public support for police falling to record lows.

In her speech, Johnson announced plans to train more police officers to tackle anti-social behaviour after a decade of decline.
