US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, and Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Cavusoglu had a telephone conversation.
State Department spokesman Ned Price said the focus of the call was the importance of continued coordination on the threat of Russian escalation in Ukraine, issues on the Horn of Africa, and the appointment of a Special Envoy from Turkey for the normalization process with Armenia.
The discussion on the opportunities for deepening the bilateral cooperation of the two countries within the NATO framework and addressing areas of mutual interest were also included in the discussion of the two officials.
