Athens Flying Week returns to Tanagra Air Base on September 4 & 5, 2021 following its postponement last year due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The international presence will be strong in the exhibition.
Based on statements by the chairman of the Organizing Committee of Athens Flying Week, Panagiotis Podimatas, there will be many surprises with the presence of the French fighter aircraft Rafale being the first one. He added that it will be a first-class opportunity to present all of the aircraft’s flight capabilities. At the same time, the legendary Spitfire will fly in the Greek skies.
The presence of the Greek Forces is expected to be impressive. At Tanagra Air Base, there will be, among others, the F-16 “Zeus”, the T-6 “Daedalus” and the Phantom F-4 fighters. Furthermore, the participation of the Special Forces of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff will be major this year with an impressive exhibition-presence.
The participation of world-class Air Force champions from many countries will also be important.
