From Monday 18 to Thursday 28 October 2021 the Armed Forces participated in the LIVEX-type Multinational Exercise “DISASTER RELIEF AND MILITARY MOBILITY EXERCISE 21-DRM2 EX21” with a unit from the 747th Special Engineer Battalion of the Army. The Exercise took place at the Training Field and Simulation Center in Postonia, Slovenia.

Countries such as Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Germany, the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Italy, Croatia, Luxemburg, Montenegro, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Kosovo also participated in the “DRM2 EX21”, which was designed and organized by the Slovenian Armed Forces. 

The objective of the exercise was to train the participants in dealing with natural disasters during operations, while items related to rescue techniques and rope rescue were executed from high heights and ruins.

This operational training was carried out in the framework of the international collaborations of the Greek Armed Forces in accordance with the planning of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (GEETHA) and contributed to the promotion of the level of operational readiness and cooperation of the participants in a multilateral context.
