The Greek company SEEDERS has announced the undertaking of an innovative initiative for the Greek standards regarding the organized and modern preparation and utilization of the Armed Forces and Security Forces Executives who are demobilized with the aim of direct connection with and transition to the private sector of the country and especially with the defence industry.

Recognizing the current and future needs of the market, SEEDERS organizes a Program entitled “Defense to Business” (D2B) with the aim of preparing recruits regardless of grade, origin, and specialization, technical or administrative, for a smooth, fast, and under the best conditions integration of them into the private sector by providing the necessary information and resources from leading professionals.

Through a series of seminars, retirees will be supported to discover the new perspectives emerging in the labor market, design their new professional identity, and set new goals for a new career.

According to the company, the seminars will cover the needs of those who decide to work with an official relationship, but also those who decide to establish their own company.

The D2B Program will facilitate the systematic contact of ex-servicemen with companies wishing to utilize the special skills and characteristics, knowledge, and experiences acquired by the Executives of the Armed Forces and Security Forces as a result of their demanding training and their long careers.

This project has a double benefit: firstly, it gives the opportunity to the Executives of the Armed Forces and Security Forces, who, due to the peculiarities of the military profession, retire at an early age, to remain productive for as long as they wish, simultaneously enhancing their income, while secondarily, it gives the opportunity in the private sector to utilize human resources with a high level of education, experience, and knowledge, characterized by high quality, ethical, and work standards.

This is a practice that has been applied for decades with great success in countries with developed industry, especially the defence industry, and SEEDERS is implementing it in Greece for the first time.

Konstantinos Michanetzis, CEO of SEEDERS and a former Hellenic Navy Officer, notes that with this program, they seek to strengthen the transition of graduates into the labor market, recognizing the potential they can bring to entrepreneurship through their education and experience.
