An NGO group is preparing to sue the Danish state to end the Nordic country’s arms exports to Israel.
NGOs raise concerns that Danish weapons were used to commit serious crimes against civilians during the war in Gaza.
Amnesty International Denmark, Oxfam Denmark, ActionAid Denmark and the Palestinian human rights organization Al-Haq say in a joint statement that they will take legal action against the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the national police, which approves the sale of arms and military equipment from Denmark.
Foreign Minister, Lars Lokke Rasmussen, told reporters that it is completely within the applicable rules of the game.
The police refused to comment immediately without seeing details of the lawsuit.
