The US Army has successfully conducted a test launch of its new hypersonic missile system, “Dark Eagle,” after two years of delays.
Poland is proceeding with the procurement of the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) worth 2.5 billion dollars, following an agreement it signed with the USA. The said agreement was signed in the presence of the Polish Minister of Defence and the US ambassador to the NATO country.

In recent years, and especially after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Poland has made many procurements with numerous armament programs, from fighter jets, armored battle tanks, frigates, artillery vehicles and air defence missile systems.
It is worth mentioning that Poland’s current defence expenditures correspond to more than 4% of GDP, the largest in NATO.
In 2018, Poland selected the IBCS as the most important component for the WISŁA modernization program, becoming the first US ally to acquire the system.
The purchase of Northrop Grumman’s IBCS is of strategic importance, since it will now strengthen the interoperability and integration of recent military equipment, but also the effectiveness of the country’s anti-missile and anti-ballistic defence, as the IBCS can integrate – in a network-centric manner – sensors and effectors across the battlefield to make the best decision to neutralize complex threats.
It is noted that under the agreement the IBCS is expected to be delivered by 2031.
