Sotiria Technology has announced its selection as a NATO Diana Challenge 2023 laureate among more than 1,300 proposals submitted by all NATO member states.

Sotiria Technology’s state-of-the-art dual-use solutions will address subsurface challenges through a passive, autonomous underwater surveillance system to protect allied maritime infrastructure such as stranded cables, ports, pipelines, and their connections.

These solutions are based on two technological blocks: the development of highly sensitive sensor systems through the use of advanced materials as well as the use of artificial intelligence (AI) as a multiplier of the capabilities of the sensors in question.

According to the company, this achievement underscores its commitment to innovation, providing deep tech solutions that align with NATO’s evolving needs.

The company says that it looks forward to contributing to the NATO mission and working with industry leaders to address the challenges outlined in DIANA.

Sotiria Technology, established just two years ago, is among NATO’s chosen for the DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator) program along with 43 other start-up companies from 31 Alliance member states, 30 of which are located on European soil.

The 44 startups will be supported to develop rapidly, having access to state-of-the-art laboratories, investor networks and research, within the framework of European or international programs.
