The Polish company Glomex MS signed a contract this week for the supply of 324 units, including options, of Ford Ranger pickup vehicles for the Army’s needs.

As already known, the country’s Armed Forces have previously purchased this model. The coating of the new vehicles will differ from the previous ones (green khaki). Also, among the requirements of the military department, is the equipment of the said vehicles with a night vision system based on infrared radiation.
The vehicles ordered are likely to be powered by 2-litre EcoBlue Bi-Turbo engines developing 125kW.
According to the delivery timeline, a total of 322 vehicles should be delivered in 2024 and 2025 (including options). The cost of the entire order is $955 million.
In particular, the vehicle in question was chosen in 2020 to replace the Nissan Navara, whose production was stopped due to the pandemic, with 435 units ordered in relation to the firm contract and 163 units as an option.
The Ford Ranger Double Cab XL vehicles are also in service with the National Guard of Cyprus, as you can read below.
