Turkish elections
There is massive participation of Turkish citizens to the polls starting this Sunday morning for the selection of the winner of the second presidential elections in Turkey.
In particular, approximately 60 million Turkish voters are registered in the electoral rolls, while Turks abroad have already exercised their right to vote in the previous days.
Mr. Erdogan secured 49.5% of votes in the first round on May 14 demonstrating the broad support he enjoys despite inflation and inadequacies in dealing with the terrible devastation caused by the February 6 earthquake.
Opposite him, Mr. Kilicdaroglou, was unable to politically capitalize on the economic crisis that plagues both households and the youth.
