Paramount Aerospace Systems (PAS), a subsidiary to Paramount headquartered in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), announced that its N-Raven loitering munition will begin production in April this year with first deliveries taking place in October.
The announcement was made at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX 2023) currently being held in Abu Dhabi.
According to the company, N-Raven has been digitally designed with quick transfer of technology in mind, to enable governments to manufacture these loitering munitions in their countries, in less than one year.
The weapon system in question is a lightweight, cost-effective loitering munition, which meets the needs of the modern battlefield in both asymmetrical and symmetrical warfare, by utilizing proven building blocks, components, and experience gained from the company’s previously remote-controlled systems.
N-Raven comes in three different configurations:
- GPS guided
- Fixed Optical Seeker Head for target detection, recognition, and tracking
- A Gimbal version of the Optical Seeker Head
All these technologies including hardware, software, and AI, have been developed by Paramount. The swarming version of the N Raven is in the advanced stages of development and is to be industrialized in the second half of 2024.
