27-year-old arrested in Tripoli persecuted with “Red Notice” as a member of ISIS
Α 27-year-old Tajik national was arrested yesterday in Tripoli against whom an international “Red Notice” was issued by his country on charges of being a member of ISIS.
According to police sources, the 27-year-old father of 4 children had come to Lesvos in 2017 as an illegal immigrant, was granted asylum and recently lived in an apartment rented by an NGO in Tripoli.
He claims that he is the son-in-law of the Leader of the Opposition in Tajikistan and has been persecuted in his country and tortured, which is why he sought asylum in Greece. Police are in contact with Tajik authorities to determine exactly the situation with the detainee.
