Special website from the Cypriot Government exclusively for COVID-19

The operation of the website www.covid19.cy was announced by the Cypriot government in order to offer a complete public briefing, in the context of tackling the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. The content of the website will include the decisions of the government for the restriction of the spread, the decrees that have been issued with the relevant restrictive provisions and guidelines for exceptional traveling in the country.

According to a statement from the Presidency, the website will also provide statistics on the spread of coronavirus in Cyprus based on the sample tests performed, the number of positive cases, the number of recovered individuals, as well as useful data per sex, age group, province / municipality / community.

Equally important and extremely useful is the information posted on the website regarding the measures and programs of the Government concerning the protection and support of workers and vulnerable groups of the population, the support of businesses and the economy, the statement added. 

In addition, the website contains information on access to health services and issues concerning Cypriots abroad as well as other measures to support citizens. 

The website provides easy and simple answers to frequently asked questions with reference to relevant publications.

Specifically, the website has nine (9) sections on:

  • Employee protection network reinforcement
  • Business support and liquidity support
  • Additional economic measures
  • Additional citizen support measures
  • Cypriots abroad
  • Distance school education
  • Vulnerable groups and people with disabilities
  • Access to Health services
  • Utilization of modern technologies

The website will be constantly updated, according to any new decisions made or measures taken by the Government, the announcement concludes.
