“Within two months, the Turks have brought in 7,000 troops,” the Solidarity movement said in a statement, calling for the convening of the National Council.

It is recalled that, according to the t/c newspaper “Haberci”, Erkut Sahali, a member of the Republican Party of Turkey, said that Turkey began to move 4,000 troops to the occupied territories, a process that will be completed today, June 30.

The announcement of the Solidarity movement is as follows:

“We demand full and responsible information from the competent authorities whether additional 4,000 Turkish soldiers have indeed been transferred, after the 3,000 that were reported to have arrived two months ago without undergoing a coronavirus test.

We are asking the government if any measures have been taken to deal with these aggressive actions by Turkey, in addition to the satisfaction expressed by the fact that Mr. Josep Borell “understood” our problem.

We reiterate our call for an immediate convening of the National Council on the development of a strategy to deal effectively with the Turkish threat and to revive the Comprehensive Defence Doctrine as soon as possible.”
