According to information on our page, as of today, September 25, the second phase of Cypriot Army Officers’ promotions begins.
This phase concerns 54 promotions of Officers to the next rank. The overall promotions in Army, Air Force and Navy are the following:
Twelve (12) Lieutenant Colonels are promoted to the rank of Colonel.
Twelve (12) Majors are promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Eight (8) Captains are promoted to the rank of Major.
Twelve (12) Lieutenants are promoted to the rank of Captain.
One (1) Lieutenant Commander is promoted to the rank of Commodore.
One (1) Lieutenant is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
One (1) Sub Lieutenant is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
One (1) Squadron Leader is promoted to the rank of Wing Commander.
Five (5) Flight Lieutenants are promoted to the rank of Squadron Leader.
One (1) Flying Officer is promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant.
In addition, based on information we have and as we informed you on May 16, more promotions, amounting to 183, will follow in the coming months so as to fill all the vacancies of the current year.
