Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the military parade for the anniversary of the declaration of independence of the Republic of Cyprus will be held on October 1 without any spectators this year.

In his statements following today’s meeting of the Cabinet, the Deputy Government Spokesman, Panagiotis Sentonas, stated that it has been decided that “the established military parade on October 1 will take place in the presence of officials only, in line with protocols, and without the presence of the public because of the conditions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.”
