National Guard | Paratroopers’ training in Egypt
Defence Redefined
Published on 26/01/2022 at 09:57

Between January 17-24, 2022, a group of Paratroopers of the Special Forces Command participated in advanced training held in the framework of the Defence Cooperation Program between Cyprus and Egypt.

The paratroopers were trained in an indoor skydiving activity simulating the conditions of a free fall jump while performing jumps from Egyptian Air Force aircraft.

The participation of our paratroopers in this training, in addition to the additional experience it provides, significantly contributes to the increase of the operational capabilities of the free fall teams and to the experience gained via further collaborations with paratroopers of other countries.

Furthermore, the implementation of training activities, along with the implementation of the Defence Cooperation Program between Cyprus and Egypt, reflect the excellent cooperation between the Armed Forces of the two countries.
