“We will do whatever it takes to defend our sovereign rights to the fullest extent possible and no more needs to be said on this,” said Minister of National Defence, Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, commenting on Turkey’s recent behavior.
Speaking to STAR CHANNEL, Mr. Panagiotopoulos commented that “of course Turkey’s behavior has been quite aggressive lately. I think the only way for Greece to deal with such a behavior is, on the one hand, to exhaust all of its diplomatic weapons and, on the other hand, to ensure the increase of the deterrent power of the Armed Forces.”
Asked if we are ready even for the worst scenario of a military solution, according to National Security Advisor Diakopoulos, the Minister of National Defence said: “Certainly! The other day, the National Security Advisor of the Prime Minister’s Office said that we are preparing for any eventuality.
